POWER OF WILL..

YOUTH! What an electrifying word! We feel a thrill pass through our veins when we hear this word! A Youth is a symbol of strength and energy; a personification of courage and enthusiasm. Even hunch-backed senile stand up straight puff up their chests at once, when they hear this magical word –YOUTH!
Our Nation, nay, the whole world places the greatest hopes on us (the youth). Because if anything great and substantial is to be achieved, it is WE who are capable of accomplishing it.
As said by SWAMI VIVEKANAND youths have the capacity to perform even in the most difficult task effortlessly, with a smile on their faces. Such fresh, hot blood flows in our veins.
WE the youths of INDIA have reached unscaled heights and earned unclaimed honors in all the fields say, scientific, technology, art, culture, politics, what not?
Youth is an infinite storehouse of power; we can shape our own destiny. But some us are blissfully ignorant of our own capacities. If they are reminded of their unbounded power, they can achieve anything and everything whatever they desire!

“HEAVEN HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES” is a well-tried maxim. It embodies in a small compass the results of vast human experience. The spirit of self-help is the root of all genuine growth in the individual.

It is WILL-the force of purposes- that enables us to do or to be whatever we set in our mind on being or doing. A holy man once said: “WHAT EVER YOU WISH, THAT YOU ARE,” such is the force of the will, linked with the divine, that whatever we wish to be, seriously, and with a true intention, that we become.

Each individual feels free to choose between good and evil. WE TODAYS YOUTH are not mere a straw, cast upon the water, to head in direction where the current takes us. Each one of us is capable of swimming against the tide. Each one is capable of directing, to a great extent his own independent course.
There is no absolute limitation upon our wills. We feel and know, that we are not bound, as if by a spell, in regard to our actions.
At every moment of our lives ethics/morals proclaim, that the will is free. It is the only thing that is wholly ours. It depends solely on ourselves, to give our will the right or the wrong direction. Our habits or our temptations are not our MASTERS. We are their masters. Even while yielding to temptation, our morals tell us we can resist. If we were not in a position to resist such temptations, there would be no need for resolution. Stronger than those we know ourselves.
A youth might be very much pleased, provided he formed a strong resolution and held to it. WILL by itself, is simply constancy, firmness, perseverance. When direction is applied to it, everything depends on whether the will is led to the right direction. When directed towards enjoyment of the senses, the strong will may be a devil, to which the wisdom becomes merely a debased slave. But when directed towards good the strong will is a king, to which the wisdom becomes the minister of man’s highest well being.
Sometimes failure stares at us, even then, we the youth can forge ahead with a brave heart and renewed enthusiasm saying NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, THIS TIME I SHALL ACHIEVE MY GOAL, AND CONQUER THE WORLD”.
